Tip for drought tactics 06-Dec-12 Property Overview
I mowed the ragweed which took over the 4 acre clover plot as short as possible. I then broadcast radish, rye grain and wheat seed. I drug it with my 12'X8' chain harrow behind my truck (to save the expense of hauling the tractor up another weekend). I did this right before a rain and it worked well enough that deer have been using it since about 4 weeks after planting.
