Looks good, agree with thickening the southern border. I can envision deer traveling along that edge during the rut from one patch of woods to the other.

Finally closed on this last friday, so far just been cutting thistles and other clean up. when the big changes start happening i will try to remember to take the camera and post some pics. im in a mad dash to mow and bale 8 acres so i can no-till soybeans before it gets too late.

Its been a busy first week, got the brome mowed and bailed, and 7 acres of soybeans no-tilled. a nice 1 inch rain would be much appriciated now. depending on the stand i get, i will most likely destroy a couple acres and put in some type of winter mix in a couple months. with the timing of this purchase it soybeans was my only good option going into sod so i could Round-up and kill the grass this summer. next year i will have a little variety but they will just have to deal with only soybeans the first year.
